Ceramic Vase - Indian Block Prints

I started to experiment with the collection of timber fabric wood blocks that I bought in India with the ceramics I have been working on. I love the subtle result of this pattern on the vase I threw on the wheel.

I think it could have been even better with a porcelain, as opposed to the school clay I (unwittingly) used here, because there would be a greater contrast between the clay and the coloured slip I used in the grooves.
I am now in the process of slab building using the timber prints and I think it will give an even better result....
