Puff Piece

I had been wanting to remake an old Witchery puffer jacket into something a bit more sculptural ever since i saw this amazing Junya Watanabe puffer jacket last year (see below).  The dramatic new neck-piece is great but it creates this weird uplift wind- it makes my hair fly wildly in all directions on a windy day, which is pretty hilarious (who knew you had to factor in engineering principles in fashion design?!) but it's nothing that would stop me wearing it...

I started by cutting off the bottom half of the jacket and carefully sewing it around the neck.  I ended up with goose down EVERYWHERE- the whole process definitely tested my patience, any sudden move and you'd end up inhaling half a goose. The resulting jacket is maybe a touch short but it is super warm and a fun alternative to all my other Winter coats!
